La BECA scholars currently come from Panama, Honduras, Bolivia, Belize, Nicaragua, and El Salvador, although la BECA is open to working with partner organizations and scholars in other countries in Central and South America. Scholars range from 1^st grade students to students in pre-professional programs in Universities in these countries. Scholarship amounts are determined by taking into account the scholar’s need after additional financial and scholarship aid is awarded.

Over the last 15 years, La BECA has distributed over $540,000 to 115 scholars in 6 countries to help women realize their dreams through education. Your contribution changes lives. The IRS recognizes la BECA as a 501(c)3 organization.
